another lesson learned the hard way

I just snapped off a cheap Chinese-made piece of shit drill bit in a part that had some eight hours of my labor in it so far. The bit was too hard. Pondering how I am going to get that damned drill bit out of my previously-beautiful machined brass part made me a little crazy, but I'm better now. The doctors give me these pills to take, to calm my nerves, you see...

Now where was I?

Gee, those American made numbered drill sets sure are expensive compared to the imports! I wonder why...

True, true. The only good stuff the Chinese brought to UK is the food. In my childhood, I had a lot of made in China toys. I remembered I broke half of them after a week or so - they sucked that much.

I'm very selective about what I buy at Harbor Freight. But sometimes it's worth it. A set of diamond Dremel bits is $8 and can be had for as little as $3 if you can catch a sale. Same set sells for $20 through MSC.
Happy Birthday!
