As previously documented here, I received a fucked-up Jet 3-in-1 machine on May 5. After finding damage and factory QC issues, I returned the item and it was picked up on May 12.
Two weeks goes by without me hearing anything, so as I write this, I am on the phone with Amazon Support to find out what's up.
Get this: Amazon's warehouse refused the return shipment because... the item was damaged. Wow.
So now the agent has to get special permission because the amount is so large. Cough.
I've been seriously considering buying some tool and equipment storage from the U.S. General line from Harbor Freight. Now I know I tend to knoc their stuff a lot, and they've earned their reputation. But over the last few years, they have been trying to fix their reputation by bringing out new lines of premium gear, at admittedly higher prices than we're used to seeing, but I've had a look at the stuff, and so have a few tool reviewers on YouTube, and most agree that the HF "Yukon" line should be ignored as it's too cheaply made, the HF "U.S. General" line is a great bargain and well made, and the HF "Ikon" line - literally designed to compete with Snap-On, is very well made but over-priced.
But god help me if I need to return that shit.
