Today I Learned...
Something I had always wondered, since there are no exposed fasteners: how the FarK do you get the damned things apart?
Well, I just watched Tom Lipton do it, and it turns out the answer is: you don't.
Unless you own a big-ass arbor press (I don't).
Unless you know what you are doing when it comes time to reassemble it (I don't).
Given the above, I am more determined than ever to baby my own. That thing was nearly $200 and worth every penny.
The Chinese PoS which came with my lathe I literally threw into the trash it was so unusable. (and probably shit steel too, so to the archeologists with it!)
