don't cheap out where your vision is concerned!

 A public service message:

 

 Boy,  it felt good to vent some of my anger on that piece of s__t!  This electronic welding hood failed while in use, resulting in me getting a solid arc flash in the eyes.  I saw spots for a few hours but simple dinner table tests the next day suggested no new apparent blind spots.  I'll have that checked the next time I see my eye doc.  It's a good thing this was relatively low-current MIG (GMAW) and not stick (SMAW).

 The point is, a good 3M or other name brand electronic hat costs less than $200.  The piece of junk costs $50.

 How much is your eyesight worth??
