blast it, book two

It seems that all the improvements and accessories for the blasting cabinet will arrive before the cabinet itself.

I ordered 25# of aluminum oxide abrasive and it turned up in a postal service overnight box; the ones that say "no weight limit".  The bag just barely fit, and that box seemed HEAVY.

I wonder what they would do if I brought in a box containing a slab of steel the same size as the box, or even a slab of lead.  OTOH, how would I move it...

The first cabinet I ordered was through Amazon, and the seller canceled saying they were out of stock.  The second joint took my money, but they said they couldn't ship it until May 1.  That's shitty and against the ToS of most credit card companies.  Humph.

Work on projects - for any purpose - has ground to a halt because of back pain.  Right now, I can't even move the 25# bag of blasting media to the garage - or the dust separator - because my lifting limit is around 15 #.

EDIT, LATER: I can't find the weight of these things - literally nobody selling them (ebay, Amazon, various other outlets) mention the weight.  I assume it comes knocked down into flat parts in multiple boxes.  Since my other half is also gimpy with back problems, neither of us can move this stuff alone.

Remember the anti-gravity utility lifting device which debuted in Star Trek TOS ("Is There In Truth, No Beauty?" to lift and move the ambassador's container?  Yeah, I could really use one of those gizmos right now. :/
